I don't get family guy?

I just don't get it I don't like that show I love the Simmons and South Park but family guy I don't get the talking baby smoking and the talking dog? Why is the baby smokes at a young age and talks and a dog I don't get it? It boreds me why do everyone likes it better than south park it's the same thing I think family guy is worse then south park what I know south park this years bad but even family guy is getting bad I don't get why?
