What Windows program will work with my OBD2 connector to read DTC codes on my Nissan Sentra '10 and Quest '07?

I bought this OBD2 connector from a href="http://www.multiplex-engineering.com" rel="nofollow"http://www.multiplex-engineering.com/a (T16-009), and used it on my 2000 Toyota Corolla with a small, easy-to-use program called "OBDII". Now, I'd like to use this connector on my two newer Nissans. It looks like these two cars use the CAN protocol (although I cannot find it documented ANYWHERE!!!), and have not had luck with the programs "OBDII", "ProScan" or "Diagnose for Windows". Does anyone know if these programs are incompatible with my cars' OBDII protocol or my connector? Can anyone recommend a program that does support CAN, and have used it with a similar connector and vehicle? FYI, my connector has pins 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 14 and 16.
