Americans - can you give me some information on your history textbooks?

What do you learn from high school and college history textbooks? Is it world history or American history? How much do you learn about European history? I'm especially interested in how Soviet Union and Poland during World War II are portrayed. What is Soviet Union and Poland's role in World War II according to these textbooks? Can you give me names of the authors and titles of some currently used history textbooks?
